Description:	The Zemel Choir is proud of its international reputation as one of the world's finest mixed-voice Jewish choirs. We regularly sing in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino and English. We perform in major venues in the UK and are proud to perform work by contemporary composers. The choir is committed to fostering communication between Jewish choirs and the wider world. Recent highlights include performances at Westminster Abbey and Norwich Cathedral, our own interfaith festival (Faithful Voices) in 2022 and 2024, and performances at the European Jewish Choral Festivals, first established in London in 2012 and most recently held in Sofia (2024). We have made a number of recordings, including of the music of Louis Lewandowski, of works from the English Jewish Music Tradition, and of lighter works from our repertoire. The choir is also committed to educational and charitable activities, participating in schools workshops and concerts for various charities and homes. The Zemel Choir prides itself on its welcoming, family feel.
